About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Dream Workshop's mission is to increase awareness of and participation in mental health services for under-served populations, increase high school graduation rates, lower dropout rates, and increase college and trade school enrollment. The Dream Workshop seeks to empower our community with culturally sensitive mental health therapeutic services and psycho-educational programming. We believe the path to a positive future comes from within each client; professionally guided by our therapists' and coaching staffs' assistance. The Dream Workshop believes in a holistic approach to treatment, integrating school-based services, educationally centered services, and empowering leadership through real-world programming for youth. Working both with the individual and the family, we help achieve long-lasting results that disrupt negative family dynamics.
Our Story
The Dream Workshop is utilizing a fusion of mental health services (therapy, groups, and wellness awareness programs), psycho-educational testing/reporting, and individualized educational/career interventions as needed to understand each of our clients and provide original therapeutic solutions to their problems. Our therapeutic model is holistic, serving the needs of the whole consumer and not just their psychological issues. Our method has been proven to give our consumers hope and direction to get them reengaged with the world they live in. Although we are focused on health, we feel youth development and education are equally important in a holistic treatment plan.
TDW provides therapeutic interventions for the members of the Fort Bend and surrounding metropolitan area. Our contract therapists and wellness coaches assist our consumers with identifying and coping with mental health diagnoses (including common diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.). Our aim is to empower our clients to develop their own treatment with our clinicians' assistance and guidance. In addition, we conduct workshops and professional development trainings in the community to educate consumers, teachers, and other professionals on mental health issues and how they can affect learning and productivity.
TDW will assist consumers with psycho-educational testing or getting access to testing to properly diagnose mental health issues, learning disabilities, and educational strengths and weaknesses. We make available (or connect our consumers if we do not internally have the availability) with age-appropriate resources to re-engage clients in the classroom or fully participate in planning and living their lives. We also serve as a community bridge by partnering with governmental organizations and non-profit providers to attain resources available and connect them to the families who need them. There are many resources available that go un-utilized due to a lack of knowledge about available programs. Lastly, we assist with family relationships through family-centered interventions and serve as an advocate for parents.
